Sirenity: structure with softness

Eva Lendel describes Sirenity as a collection of 30 gowns grounded in clean lines and sculptural forms. Fitted and layered silhouettes appear across the range, bringing two ways of working with proportion: one stays closer to the body, while the other builds visual depth through fabric. Silk mikado, silk lace and organza appear among the materials, with handwork shaping the gowns in the atelier.

Those fabrics give different surfaces to the same idea. Mikado can hold a strong shape; lace introduces fine texture; organza lends a lighter, translucent layer. The siren-inspired name points to a balance of strength and softness that becomes visible in cut, fabric and movement.

What distinguishes a Sirenity gown?

Look at where the layers begin and end, how the waist is defined and whether the skirt follows a fitted or fuller path. Two designs may share an ivory palette while making very different use of volume. The contrast of fitted and layered designs becomes clearest when each silhouette is viewed from front, side and back.

The combination of silk lace and organza can soften a firm outline, while mikado can make an architectural fold more visible. That material contrast is one of Sirenity’s defining strengths.

For another quiet approach with stronger architectural lines, see Kiss of Silence. The later Less Is More VI brings sculptural corsetry and fluid draping into the next chapter of the brand’s minimalist line.
