What We Saw at New York Bridal Fashion Week
New York Bridal Fashion Week — as it’s known, though it’s technically held over just three days, Oct. 14 to 16 — brought together editors, fashion buyers and stylists to view bridal designers’ latest offerings.
A few brands kicked off NYBFW a day early with presentations and runway shows. Watters launched the rebranding of their WTOO bridal line under a new name, Locket by Watters. Red carpet-favorite Nicole + Felicia held their first bridal runway show.
There were other emerging designers debuting at NYBFW for the first time, including Floure and Hilá.
Some established fashion designers returned to the runway. Monique Lhuillier’s first formal fashion show after seven years created much buzz. Hayley Paige showed her first full collection, which included a seven-piece after-party dress edit, after five years away from the bridal scene.
Sister brands WONÁ Concept and Eva Lendel presented their latest bridal collections in their first formal joint runway show at NYFBW.
