Tea-Length Wedding Dresses

Tea-length wedding dresses show the ankle while keeping a composed calf-length line. Eva Lendel currently presents Ginevra in this length through a removable skirt over a lace romper.

Tea-Length Wedding Dresses: The Visible Lower Leg

A tea-length hem stops above the ankle, leaving footwear and the lower leg visible while retaining more skirt than a mini dress. Fullness affects the impression: a layered, tiered skirt can feel more buoyant than a narrow one at the same height. Bodice shape and waist placement also influence the balance.

Ginevra’s removable short overskirt

Ginevra begins with a fitted sparkle-lace romper. Its short tiered overskirt creates a tea-length profile and opens at the front, so the base remains part of the look. A second, long overskirt extends the outfit to the floor with a high slit and chapel train. The shorter hem is thus one deliberate configuration of the design, rather than the length of its underlying piece.

The exposed lower leg brings shoes into the overall proportion. Midi bridal dresses include other mid-length cuts, while convertible designs show how a separate layer can change both length and volume.
