When restraint meets volume

Eva Lendel describes Less Is More V as a 30-design collection built on refined silhouettes and expressive volume. Puffed and ruched taffeta appears in skirts, boleros and sleeves. These are visible changes in shape, not merely surface decoration: a sleeve can widen the shoulder line, a bolero can add structure above the waist, and a skirt can change the full outline of a gown.

Clean construction keeps those elements legible. The eye can follow the line of the bodice before encountering a sculptural fold or cloud of fabric. Some looks keep the effect concentrated in one area; others let the added volume become the main statement. The exact silhouette of each dress is best considered together with the placement of its taffeta volume.

Campaign atmosphere

The campaign was photographed in a natural, minimalist setting on a foggy day. Eva Lendel does not name a city or venue. That muted background reinforces the collection’s contrast of clear lines and dramatic fabric, but the garments themselves provide the useful comparison: how much volume, where it sits, and how it behaves as the wearer moves.

Compare the earlier emphasis on corsetry and removable pieces in Less Is More IV with the later clean construction of Less Is More VI. Both pages help place this collection within the series.
